Due to a lack of marketing experience, entrepreneurs are often unaware of the full range of internet marketing tools. Therefore, when they see a competitor’s social media presence or advertising, they assume that this is the entire marketing effort that generates results.
In reality, however, achieving tangible results requires many other tasks that are not immediately visible. The scope of this work is usually quite large — or even enormous.
This largely depends on how broadly the people running the business think and how they envision their company’s future.
For example, a business owner may aim to become a market leader, while another may simply want to sell a certain volume of products without looking further ahead. The marketing strategies of these two companies will be fundamentally different.
Why we do not work with individual marketing directions only
When a client comes to us and says they want to work with just one specific marketing tool, we cannot ignore all other areas or refrain from intervening.
That is why we start by learning about the brand and analyzing its visual identity, website, social media, communication, and other related aspects.
In most cases, it becomes clear that a single tool is not enough to achieve results.
For example, to launch SMM in a specific niche, it is advisable to showcase cases. However, these may not exist or may be written in overly technical and unclear language. If case studies are created, they should be published on the company’s blog, which often does not exist either. If a blog is launched, a content plan, which takes into account not only case studies, but also other topics that may be of interest to customers. And if we are already involved in content creation, then it needs to be shown to as many potential customers as possible, and here you can’t do without advertising…
Based on our own experience, we have become convinced that everything in marketing is interconnected. When we see these connections, we are obligated to use them or honestly warn the client that we do not recommend working with just one tool, as this is most likely to fail to deliver results.
