Hello! Today we have an interview with Krystyna Tryhub, a marketer at our agency.

Please tell us about your professional career.

— My career in marketing began in 2015. At that time, I graduated from university with honors in my major and started looking for my first job. A few weeks later, like many graduates, I was faced with the question: “Where can I get work experience if no one will hire me without it?” And so as not to sit idle, I applied for graduate school. This was the start of my two-year marathon, where work and study took over my life.

My first job was at an auditing company, where I started as a marketing assistant and quickly gained experience. Within two months, I took on content marketing, and later joined marketing research, analytics, contractor control, and event organization. I have the warmest memories and great gratitude for my boss!

Then I decided to try my hand at freelancing. It was something else! I worked on projects in various fields, from dentistry to engineering. My day could start with marketing research for a transfer pricing report for a transport company and end with creating a content plan for a tableware store. Such versatility is undoubtedly exhausting and prevents you from immersing yourself in the company’s global processes.

Then I met the super team at Solve Marketing. Here, I have the opportunity to look at the company’s strategy globally, analyze it, and be responsible for the results. And all this in a positive atmosphere of support and surrounded by cool, talented professionals who are passionate about their work. It’s awesome!

What did you dream of becoming as a child?

— I wanted to be a flight attendant so I could travel a lot and get a little adrenaline rush from time to time.

I still love the moment when the plane accelerates quickly and takes off or enters a zone of turbulence.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in marketing?

— My mother was a director at a company. So, when I was a child, I sometimes spent time at her office. There, I was given small tasks, such as answering the fax machine, stamping documents, and sending letters. I felt very businesslike and enjoyed the atmosphere. So after school, I chose to study economics, and marketing was the most creative and innovative profession at that time.

How would you explain what a marketer is?

— A marketer is a creative strategist who actively follows trends, has analytical skills, and developed empathy for the desires and needs of consumers. They know how to ask the right questions and are able to draw the right conclusions that will contribute to the success and increased profitability of the business.

What do you think is Solve Marketing’s mission and what is your role in it?

— To put it simply, at Solve Marketing, we help our clients become successful.

When a project comes to us, the operational marketer acts as an “internal client” within the agency. Therefore, my tasks are to monitor the compliance of completed tasks with the overall strategy, analyze results, defend the client’s interests, and seek new development opportunities for them.

What are your values in life and work?

— Honesty. I strive to be honest with myself and others.

Working for results. It is important to me that my efforts are directed toward achieving specific results, rather than simply completing tasks for the sake of the process itself.

Integrity. I refuse to work with companies or individuals involved in inappropriate or illegal activities. It is important to me that the results of my work benefit people and contribute to their well-being.

What advice would you give to other novice marketers?

Be sincere and don’t be afraid of mistakes. If you mess up, think about how to fix the situation, and then praise yourself for taking action rather than standing still. Only those who do nothing make no mistakes. The main thing is to draw the right conclusions and move on.

Be proactive. It is important and necessary to take the initiative, rather than waiting for others to come to you and tell you what to do or fix. Offer ideas and look for opportunities on your own. Your own desires and ambitions inspire you to take action, achieve goals, and keep you going in your daily routine.

Be passionate. If you love what you do, everything else will fall into place. Take an interest in trends and new tools, because marketing is constantly changing.

Learn English. It is your ticket to the best companies, interesting projects, and communication with colleagues and clients from all over the world.

Imagine you are a Marvel or DC superhero. What would your superpower be?

— I would like to have a magic glove that creates a hologram with geolocation and contacts of potential customers. It would open up a database of those who are currently looking for a product or service for a specific business niche. Then, with a snap of my fingers, I would create a virtual stream of customers.

In summary, I would be a “magical marketer” capable of bringing people and businesses together, changing the world of marketing with one magical snap of my fingers!

If there was a Tinder for marketers, what would you write about yourself in your profile?

— Actively seeking creative challenges. If you’re ready to open up new opportunities for growth, swipe right!

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

— I love long walks, spending time with my family and dog, and learning English. I also work out and go on mini-trips, as I currently live on the border of several European countries, so I get to know their cultures, cuisines, and nature.
